WEEK 7- Pahuaja Thao

In the opening of the article “A New Theory of the Universe”, Robert talked about how he was walking home when he took notice to a glow worm. At that moment, he focused on the relationship between him and this little creature and instead of scientifically explaining this glow worm, he instead thought of it as something more than just what he see and know. On page 2 of the article, the author states “we need a revolution in our understand of science and of the world”(part 2). I have to agree with the author on this point because instead of depending so heavily on what we know as a law, we need to seek answers beyond that. Here is a quote that helps strengthen the author’s point of view: “these comprehensive theories are no more than stores that fail to take into account one crucial factor: we are creating them.”(page 2).
A quote that I have found myself trying to decipher and find the meaning behind it was “Without perception, there is in effect no reality. Nothing has existence unless you, I , or some living creature perceives it, and how it is perceived further influences that reality.” (page 3).

Question:
So if certain things exist because of our well crafted explanations and our acknowledgement, why is it that scientists have not yet come up with a theory or law for the reason why miracles take place?
