Week 10 - Calvin Huang

To start off with, my major is in Computer Science.  This poses a problem for me because the two fields are completely unrelated at the surface level.  Right now, I do not see any connection that can be made with the two.  However, this class has taught me how to think beyond the norm.  Maybe in the future we develop new technologies to see into the spirit realm. Then that would open a whole new realm of possibilities for my field to develop applications for that technology.  For example, there could be an app to detect negative energies that could help to user to create a more positive environment.  We could provide computer models to determine and simulate a virtual spirit realm.  Of course, this is all assuming the technologies are being developed for it.  The hardest part would be creating these technologies.  Another obstacle would be convincing people that the spirit realm is real.  Hopefully technology will prove it to them, but even then there will be skeptics.  We have to get the academic board to view the technologies and accept the existence of the spirit realm.  The first step is to bring the acceptance into classrooms.  Our class is already on the frontier of this expansion of knowledge, so hopefully we will all bring each other’s spirit together.

Question: What are some other majors that are more well suited to the exploration of the spirit realm?
