Feixiao Xin---week 6

The the article aims to find the exact examples or embodiment of the spiritual power in the material medical world. The two main paths for the trip of spirituality are supplement and replacement. And both still follow a basic theme, which is the power of “self”. Clinical chaplaincy is the common destination of the two paths or the achievement of keeping the balance between spiritual power and modern medicine. It involves clinical neuro-physiological practice and spiritual-theological concepts such as transpersonal mindfulness and empathy. While the article directly showed a positive attitude toward the meaning of spirituality, it became more trustful when it was connected to modern biology theory. The author also explained that while doctors were trained to take advantage of the power, they at least formed the ability to communicate with their patients and understand themselves and their patients since they had a deeper realization of “oneself”. I wonder if it just refers to an improvement of communicating or expressing cause it may not sound forceful and valuable. And for the part of empathy, I think some words from Venerable Tenzin Legtsok is showing a clear opinion. The link of his word is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K37ModkNulc
