The the article aims to find the exact examples or embodiment of the spiritual power in
the material medical world. The two main paths for the trip of spirituality are
supplement and replacement. And both still follow a basic theme, which is the
power of “self”. Clinical chaplaincy is the common destination of the two paths
or the achievement of keeping the balance between spiritual power and modern
medicine. It involves clinical neuro-physiological practice and
spiritual-theological concepts such as transpersonal mindfulness and empathy.
While the article directly showed a positive attitude toward the meaning of
spirituality, it became more trustful when it was connected to modern biology
theory. The author also explained that while doctors were trained to take advantage
of the power, they at least formed the ability to communicate with their
patients and understand themselves and their patients since they had a deeper
realization of “oneself”. I wonder if it just refers to an improvement of
communicating or expressing cause it may not sound forceful and valuable. And
