Feuy Saephan - Week 9
The ability to exist in a beautiful word that provides us with the necessary means to live should be enough reason for us to listen carefully to the songs she shares. The world is alive and singing through nature. The way the leaves on the trees rustle against the wind and the crash of the stream on the rocks underneath them. They are stories from the elders. If we take a second to listen and be in tune with these songs, we can hear our elders within them.
Our land holds stories from every person who has ever stepped foot onto this world. Mother Earth takes these stories to integrate them into the depths of her songs in order to pass it to the next generations to come. She understands the importance of listening to every human being, because they are a part of her existence.
Many people are distracted by the modern world, especially with advanced technology quickly developing. Our phones are consistently in our faces because we want to be connected to the people and events occurring around us. But, what better way to do that then to open our eyes and ears to the tunes being shown all around us? Mother Earth is constantly present and patiently waiting for us to hear and see her. She wants us to hear her voice, even if it is just for a second.
We must be more aware of our surroundings. Even in the midst of beeping cars, fast-moving trains, and sky-scraper buildings, we must see deeper. The land we walk on is precious, and it was once home to only trees and animals before the modern world took over. In order to teach the next generations, we must take it upon ourselves to learn her songs as well. We have to try to be in synchronicity with Mother Earth, in the same way she is in tune with us.
What are some different ways people practice to synchronize with the songs of Mother Earth?
