Week 8
Spirit Realm in Academia: A movement for Spiritual Liberation
Upon reading the article, A New Theory of the Universe which talked about how biology does not fully explain everything there is to connect the physical world, I was fascinated by how they somewhat discredited biology. The example of simplifying every single living thing to a protein, molecule or atom struck me. The article said how this concept in traditional school and science failed to explain the entire world. People are too obsessed with science and biology to understand the world that they fail to account for the fact that we, the creatures, are creating our own experiences and reality. Einstein along with a lot of others force mathematics and science into realms that do not necessarily even fit it. Scientists and the vast majority are forgetting the fact that the observer creates reality and not the other way around. Science and exact numbers and math can not explain the big bang and how the universe works. For example, in quantum physics it is hard to determine what is motion and therefore physicists are often forced to explain this phenomenon through math and numbers, which can often be a false representation, as stated in this article. Lastly, the article talked about how things like time, space, and even our senses and perception of reality are way too abstract for us to put into science and numerical numbers. I found this article to be quite relatable since I do not agree nor find interest in the nitty-gritty science numbers to explain how the world works since it is so complex. Not everything can be put into an equation.
