Week 7 - Amanda Wong
Science is taking a shift as we turn towards the spirit realm to answer many questions that have gone unanswered by science. In the article, “A New Theory of the Universe” by Robert Lanza, he discusses the existence of time and space and questions reality as we know it. He explains why biology should be the first and last science that ought to be studied because the rest is explained through consciousness. The other sciences attempt to explain the world through hypothetical observations of nature through physics and mathematics.
It is in our own perception that we create reality. This may sound like a blurb of thought you would hear in front of a bonfire under the stairs with a beer in hand, but Lanza has managed to back up this thought through academia. Biologic allows us to understand the world around us. We tend not to question the existence of time and space. By creating a system to measure space and time we have began to take its existence for granted.
When we begin to ponder the spirit realm we bring it into our reality. Lanza quotes John Wheeler who said, “No phenomenon is a real phenomenon until it is an observed phenomenon.” This means we create reality as we know it.
Question: Do you think the spirit realm could ever become normalized into society where we refer to it as something that simply exist?
