Week 10: Final Project Presentations -Brittany Carlson
The
questions to answer for this week’s blog entry were, “Consider in your
discipline what would be the benefits of including spirit realm into the
studies and curriculum?”;“What would be the challenges of doing this?”; and “ What
would be some good strategies to achieve this?”
To
answer the first question, my discipline is in the field of Animal Science. I
believe that including spirit realm into this type of study and curriculum
could be beneficial because if an animal becomes ill, perhaps this illness
could be from a spiritual illness like in humans when stress causes spiritual
distress that manifests itself in the form of physical illness. If this is the
case, than spiritual healing such as healing with crystals could be a
beneficial practice to incorporate into the studies and curriculum of the
Animal Science field to offer an alternative method for healing the animals.
To
answer the second question, the challenges of incorporating the spirit realm
into the studies and curriculum of the Animal Science field could be that not
all people believe in the spirit realm and in spiritual healing so having it
incorporated into the curriculum may cause public backlash from those who
disapprove of these practices.
To
answer the third question, some good strategies to incorporate the spirit realm
into the studies and curriculum of Animal Science could be to perform studies on
animals to test if spiritual healing methods work on them to provide evidence to
support the benefits of spiritual healing in the Animal Science field. Another
good strategy could be to try to create publicity and awareness of how the
spirit realm may be important to Animal Science to gain support for the idea of
incorporating it to become a part of the curriculum.
Question:
Are there any other ways that the spirit realm can be connected to the field of
Animal Science?
