Week 6 - Thu Cao

Doctor can says no, but mom can say yes. It was long time ago, I was randomly watching a clip on YouTube. The nurse gave the baby back to the mother to say goodbye because the baby had died after birth. However, the mom could not believe that truth. With all of her hope, she received her baby and snuggled the kid to her chest. She sang a lullaby while she could not stop crying and calling the kid’s name. Just like that for hours, despite the doctor’s confirmation she still held her kid in her arm and tried to do skin-to-skin contact. The miracle happened, the kid was called back from the death by the mom. I believe after death our souls will leave our bodies, but sometimes the soul is still sticking around when just die. Therefore, the soul can be called back if it can receive the love from its connection. At this point, I raise the question on my mind. Is that soul control life? If souls stay in our bodies, we will alive and against if the soul leaves us, we will die. In this story, the doctor represents science while the mom represents spirit. And that spirit is the thing that science can not explain 

Q: Now I wonder, how the soul look like? We can say, soul is not a matter, so it has no shape. We can say soul is the same idea with thought or emotion. However, we can feel something when we interact, that means we can contact with emotion. Also, the brain and neuron contain and interact the thoughts. Although thought and emotion are not matter things like soul however, we can use matter to interact and influence thought and emotion while we cannot do that with soul. So, I wonder how we can touch, catch or interact with soul? Where is its location in our body? Brain? Heart? Or the whole body?
