"Without perception, there is effect in no reality." Lanza's articles reflects an existential discussion regarding the realities of life and how the hard sciences play a role in the philosophical questions we have. This relates to the continuous discussion within our class about the role of the sciences and spirituality. Rather than discussing them within contention of one another, Lanza discusses how existence, the soul, and the conscience can possibly be attributed to the sciences as well.
Perception is what informs reality. Perception is biased, therefore reality is biased. It cannot be perceived as an objective reality. The reality we see is the reality that the collective has been processed. Thus, is there ever a true reality that one can see?
