Yueming Tan

In the article “Earth song as story work: Reclaiming Indigenous knowledge” by Bronwyn Fredericks, the author mentions how Indigenous culture uses songs to spread their stories and messages to the next generation of young people. This is an interesting article because people today do not pay much attention to indigenous music. Most people believe that Aboriginal music is boring and incomprehensible, so they decided to ignore it. The article mentioned that as long as people listen carefully, they will hear the songs of the woods. The author says that the woods are talking, although most people do not believe it. My question is why people don't want to spend more time learning about Indigenous culture and music even they were fun?
