Xin-Week 2
Where do I come from? Where do I go? This is a
philosophical problem that has been fascinating and confusing since ancient
times. Where did consciousness go after death? Did it go with the wind or in a
mysterious treasure chest kept by the universe? It can be said that there are
still many mysteries in this world waiting for us to uncover, and humankind has
too little knowledge of the world. With the continuous advancement of modern
science and technology, the afterlife is no longer just a theological issue. It
can also become a scientific issue. Robert Lanza and Bob Berman state that
humans will never die. Consciousness still exists after one’s death, without constrains
of space and time. It is a support for the basic postulates of Quantum physics,
according to which human’s brain is just a perfect quantum computer stored with
information of consciousness. This is consistent with the conclusion of the
article I read: An approach to prove the
existence of after life by analyzing near death experience’s data with
mathematical logic.
This article analyzes how those who experience near-death
experiments feel at the time of near-death and draws a conclusion: the time
they experience at the time of near-death is different from the time experienced
by sober people, they will experience the time of near-death Emotions for a
long time, even forever. In other words, death is not the end of consciousness.
The dead just experience life in another dimension of time.
This conclusion is very magical and exciting, but I
still have a doubt: does this conclusion overturn the existing materialism?
According to materialism, consciousness exists on the basis of matter. If
consciousness persists after the decay of human flesh, then this should belong
to idealism. Or, even though consciousness exists, it actually exists in the
state of death? In short, this world is really wonderful, there are too many
things waiting for human exploration.
