Jade Garcia - Week 3

Have you ever wondered the way that some people are able to connect to those who aren't in this planet anymore? I do. The way that we some how have an interconnection between what's alive and what's dead is very well observed within the article we discussed "Gifts From The Spirits" by Karen Fjestad and Lisa Maiffret. They discussed the way certain people called 'Mediums' are able not only to heal those from sickness but also connect with the dead. Fjestad and Maiffret discuss how in some families they have the ability to be a medium and  is passed on through the female line within the family. It can also be seen as a calling from destiny to be a medium. I find it quite fascinating that usually its females who have the intuition to to feel more sometimes compared to men. And a good question is why? Within psychology, there are concepts that discuss that women are seen more as "empathizers" such that I believe that as women we seem to think and feel more compared to the male sex. I truly believe that as women we also have a weirdly connection to mother nature but also that  we bring life to this earth. I truly believe though some people have a unique calling since their childhood but others could probably develop it. It goes backs to the way that the universe could possibly be showing us signs that we just don't seem to pay attention to or are afraid to.
