Matchima Prasansin - Week 8

This week’s topic focuses on the idea of spirit realms in Academia on how we use scientific theories
to prove the existence of the universe. In this week’s reading, A New Theory of the Universe by
Robert Lanza. The reading focuses on understanding the universe with scientific theories. This
reading is interesting to me because it allows me to understand things in other perspectives. And I
realized that there is still a lot to be discovered in our universe. Lanza points out that the law of
physics and chemistry can explain the biology of living systems, however there is something more
than that. A full understanding of life is more than just looks at cells and molecules through a
microscope. He claims that our science theories and what we learned from school fail to
acknowledge those special properties of life that make it essential to material reality. Lanza
mentions that biocentrism is the new theory of the universe. It is also interesting that he talks
about how we are able to know time. In addition, he points out that humans have been tracking
time events in nature by using the moon and the sun, however, these did not really tell what time
it is exactly.

Question: Quantum physics has shown that space and time are the illusions of perception.
So does this mean that what we see with our five senses is not real?
